This presentation outlines a comprehensive framework for engaging K-12 students along with college students in immersive learning experiences through the integration of outdoor education and community partnerships. 17 BSU students served as counselors at Camp Crosley for a 2-night/3-day Outdoor Ed. Experience with 50 Burris Laboratory School 4th and 5th graders.

Drawing on insights from reflections, observational data, and stakeholder feedback, the presentation highlights the transformative potential of experiential learning in both elementary school and higher education, particularly within the realms of physical education and outdoor education. By immersing K-12 and college students in outdoor education settings, educators can cultivate a deeper understanding of theoretical concepts, develop practical skills, and nurture a sense of social responsibility and environmental stewardship.

The presentation will offer practical guidance for educators and administrators seeking to implement similar initiatives within their own schools. From curriculum design and program development to logistical considerations and assessment strategies, attendees will gain valuable insights into building sustainable partnerships and creating meaningful learning experiences that resonate with K-12 as well as college students.
